It’s been six years to Mantralay’s ‘Makeover’ and this picture speaks so well for the quality of work being done by tax payer’s hard earned money. A fire broke out in Mantralay on the afternoon of June 21, 2012, during the alliance government of Congress-NCP. Four floors of the building were completely destroyed in the fire. After which, the then government took the decision of giving a complete ‘Makeover’ to the building.
Mantralay manages the responsibility of the whole state’s work, but after seeing this picture; this question must arises that how much this premise is strong to bear the load of the entire state’s work? On Monday, the big tile above the lift fell down on the floor. If this is going to be the situation of construction at Mantralay, then what all we could expect from the construction work at public places.
Who is responsible?
At the ground floor there are a lift and escalators in Mantralay. However, the officials and common public uses the lift most instead of the escalator. On Monday, suddenly the big size tile above the 1 number lift fell down on the floor. Fortunately, there was no one near the lift so the big accident was avoided. Who would have been held responsible if this big tile would have fell on someone’s head?
Roof leakage in Mahadev Jankar’s office
Last year, at the beginning of the rainy season, it was noticed that on the seventh floor of the NX building of Mantralay there was a water leakage from the roof. There is an office of Cabinet Minister Mahadev Jankar on the same floor. Some part of the roof outside his office was badly damaged due to heavy rain. So the rain water started falling directly on the seventh floor.
Meanwhile after this incident the feeling of common people says, that if this is going to be the situation of the building which manages the entire state’s work, then it’s better not to expect any Excellency in constructions at public places.
