Chandrakant ) Patil is a president to cabinet sub-committee formed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to give reservation to Maratha community.

It seems that Cabinet Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Public Works, Agriculture & Horticulture and second highest Minister after Chief Minister, Chandrakant (Dada) Patil has one stop solution to all the crises that his government faces, is apologizing repeatedly. When such a senior level person had to apologize time and again; there is talk in political circle that he is either very close to party high-command or he talks without studying anything.

“It was not intentional to hurt anyone’s feelings; if anyone hurt I apologize”, Chandrakant Patil had to apologize for continuous three occasions between the time periods of ten days from July 16 to July 25, 2018. He is now therefore a hot topic of discussion for Congress, NCP and Shivsena.

But in the past three and a half years, whenever the government is in any trouble like farmer’s loan waives, Maratha reservation, Dhanagar reservation, Chandrakant Patil has always confronted the government like as angel and played a role of volunteer to save BJP. But the same role has now become the headache for the Fadnavis government.

July 16: Because of Geography book

During the last monsoon session, there was uproar in Legislative Council by opposition on the matter of publication of seven pages in Gujrathi language in the Geography book of Class VI. NCP’s MLA Sunil Tatkare, who was hurt by the allegations made by the leader of the house Chandrakant (Dada) Patil, had warned of suicide by poisoning in the house. In the matter, Chandrakant Patil then expressed regret in the House and then all the disputes were sorted.

The Legislative Council was adjourned for the day due to the huge uproar by oppositions on July 13, when seven pages were published in Gujrathi language in the Geography book of Class VI. Chandrakant Patil had blamed Sunil Tatkare for adding those pages in the book. Tatkare had warned that if Patil could prove that he has printed it then he will commit suicide by taking poison in the house. The whole house was shocked at the comments made by Tatkare. Later, the house was adjourned for the day by the Speaker. The later day, Chandrakant Patil announced that he had expressed his heartfelt apology if Tatkare’s sentiment was heart was hurt.

July 20: for the potholes on the road

The situation of roads in the state is just getting worst day by day. Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai has end number of potholes, Kalyan, Dombivli roads are in extreme worst condition. Five people were killed because of the potholes at Kalyan. Responding to this, the Cabinet Minister Chandrakant Patil made a strange statement, “5 lakh people traveled on the same road where the 5 people died. How can the government be blamed alone? Road maintenance is also the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation. When his statement was criticized a lot, Patil had apologized saying he did not want to hurt anyone’s feelings, he said that I had just as an example. He expressed heartfelt apology.

July 25: on Maratha reservation

“I have not said anything wrong about the Maratha agitation, but my statement is being misrepresented. I did not intend to hurt anyone’s feelings. I apologize if anybody’s feelings were hurt” Patil said in Miraj.

While the Maratha organizations have started the agitation for reservation, some paid people are being intrusive in this protest march and purposely the situation is being created to put the state in unstable condition. The Maratha Kranti Morcha, which conducted 58 protest march very peacefully till date, how all of sudden it could turn so violent; if we think about this in right way, it shows that this is nothing but a planned strategy, Chandrakant Patil said.

The Maratha leader Kakasaheb Shinde killed himself for demand of Maratha reservation near Aurangabad on Monday. After this incident, the agitation turned violent; there was a shutdown in the state on Tuesday. Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai on was closed on Wednesday. “The state government is working seriously on the reservation matter. If breaking Minister’s vehicles or set them on fire can get you a reservation then do break the cars, but at in the end, it is big loss to a society only” Patil had made this statement during the agitation.

“A senior minister like Chandrakant Patil should have thought neatly before reacting to any sensitive subject, he should not talk something without having proper information, such statements provokes group of people protesting peacefully. We too were in power. Chandrakant Patil should not always misunderstand the oppositions that the always lie or do politics only”.
