The serial rapist Rehan Ansari (27), who raped minor girls in four districts, has confessed that he only raped and murdered two minor girls in Kurla in 2010. He was recently arrested by Navi Mumbai Police; he revealed this shocking information of raping and killing two other minors. The DNA taken of raped girls matched with the DNA of Rehan and thus he was exposed.
‘My Mahanagar’ has reported about rapist Rehan Ansari with his photograph. , The Police and many citizens were alert when we reported that this serial rapist has raped about 15 minor girls in Andheri, Navi Mumbai, Nalasopara and Palghar. After that Navi Mumbai Police had arrested Rehan Ansari in September from Nalasopara. Post his arrest he confessed about all rapes and murders he done.
In Kurla (East) Nehru Nagar, in the 3 months from February to April 2010, three minor girls between the ages of 6 to 9 years were raped. These girls were raped and murdered. One of the girl Sania’s body was found on the terrace of an SRA building at Vatsalatai Naik Nagar area. Then another minor girl Anjali’s body was found on the terrace of a police building near the Nehru Nagar Police station. These incidents shook the entire police force as the Senior Police Inspector of Nehru Nagar police station Kale lives in the same building with his family.
The police have conducted major search operation to arrest this serial rapist. Police had arrested Javed Shaikh but his DNA did not match with Sania and Anjali. Nehru Nagar police conducted a DNA test of around 6,000 people. Later when Rehan was arrested his DNA was matched. Rehang revealed that Anjali and Sania were raped and murdered by him. Almost after Eight years Navi Mumbai Police could arrest Rehan Ansari.
