Nalasopara Explosive Case: Staunch Pro-Hindu activist trained in Goa & Belgaum

ATS officials told that some of them were given special training in different places. These places include some places from Goa and Belgaum. Sanatan Sansthan, a staunch pro-Hindu organization in Goa, has it’s headquarter there. Since the direct connection of the arrested accused to the pro-Hindu organizations, the ATS is still investigating the case thoroughly.

So far 4 people have been arrested by ATS in connection with the possession of explosive weapons. These accuse include Vaibhav Raut, Sharad Kalaskar and Sudhna Gondhalekar. And fourth one is Hindu activist Shrikant Pangarkar, who was a former Shiv Sena corporator from Jalna.

One person has been arrested in connection with the murder of ANIS President Dr. Narendra Dabholkar. The investigation has revealed that Dabholkar was murdered by Sachin Andun and Sharad Kalaskar, but the mastermind behind the murder is yet unknown.

Pistol, Sword and Knife seized from Andure’s friend

The accused, arrested from Pune, Thane and Aurangabad areas, were working in different groups. ATS investigation has revealed that many of the accused had no connection with each other. ATS team seized arms from Aurangabad on Monday night. The joint action was taken by the CBI and Maharashtra ATS, after the information received from Sachin Andure. In ATS raid, a 7.65 bore pistol, three live cartridges and one sword were seized from Andure’s friend and relative’s house. The CBI suspected that one of the seized pistols is used in assassination of Dr. Dabholkar.

More than 100 code words with the accused

The accused are being questioned thoroughly by the ATS. They have understood more than 100 hundred code words that are used for the conversation, said ATS chief Atulchandra Kulkarni. Meanwhile, what this code word means is not yet revealed by them.

Sanatan’s Jayant Athavale will be questioned

Sanatan’s head Dr. Jayant Athavale will also be questioned by ATS as the connection of the accused arrested are directly related to Sanatan Sanstha. Earlier, in 2008, 6 people were arrested for the bomb blasts that took place in Cinema Theater in Panvel and drama theaters in Thane & Vashi. In the investigation it was revealed that these arrested accused were also connected with Sanatan Sanstha. In 2011, two accused in the case were convicted and sentenced to 10 years in jail, state’s ATS chief Atulchandra Kulkarni said on Tuesday.

Financial aid for explosives from Shrikant Pangarkar

In this entire case, it has been revealed in the ATS investigation that financial aid was provided to Vaibhav Raut, Sharad Kalaskar and Sudhna Gondhalekar. ATS has examined the bank accounts of all four accused during the investigation. Meanwhile, Shrikant Pangarkar was a Shiv Sena Corporator from 2001 to 2010, but after leaving Shiv Sena he started working with a fanatic Hindu organization since last 4 to 5 years. Currently, Pangarkar has been remanded to police custody till August 28, and will increase his custody if necessary, ATS officials said.

The ban proposal has been sent to Center Govt.

ATS has informed that the accused Sachin Andure arrested in Dr. Narendra Dabholkar murder and other accused arrested in connection with murder of other ideologues will also be investigated. “The proposals to ban Sanatan Sanstha were made earlier too, but it never got implemented. Now the state government has sent a proposal to Central government to ban this institution “Home Minister Deepak Kesarkar told reporters. Accordingly, ATS has sent its report to the Central Government.”

Confusion on the backdrop of discovery of poison bottles and choppers

A large quantity of weapons was seized during ATS’s abduction in the house of Vaibhav Raut in Nalasopara, two bottles of 2 liters poison were also seized from his house. Meanwhile, nothing is yet known about what the choppers would have been used for. ATS Chief Atulchandra Kulkarni said that the ATS is still confused over this matter.
