It seems that CM Devendra Fadnavis has decided to give more importance to Shivsena in order to maintain the alliance with the party for the upcoming elections. Following the orders of BJP national President Amit Shah, Fadnavis has pleased the sentiments of Shiv Sena while appointing important positions in various Greater Corporations. Shiv Sena has been given the post like of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary in the corporations such as MHADA, Mumbai Building Repairs & Reconstruction Board, and Krishna Valley Authority etc.
BJP national president Amit Shah met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray in June month to resolve the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance issue in Matoshri. To make the alliance in 2019 elections, Amit Shah had given a proposal to Shiv Sena to give 60 percent share in the important corporations. He also showed a willingness to give revenue or a home ministry to Shiv Sena and also one cabinet and a state minister post in the center government. But despite all this efforts of Shah, Uddhav Thackeray had chant the slogan of “Ekla chalo” (contest election alone) on the foundation day of Shiv Sena. Finally BJP has to hit its masterstroke to please Sena by giving them 10 important posts in greater corporation.
Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray was highly upset with the matter that Shivsena’s representatives were not getting any importance in the State and the Central cabinet. According to him the Sena ministers have no value in Modi’s cabinet. Over such issues Thackeray decided to contest upcoming elections alone. But looking at the current situation of BJP in the country where BJP lacking the support, Shah decided to offer many important posts to Sena to maintain the alliance.
To calm down the many disappointed party workers and some of the Shivsena leaders who always try to put BJP in trouble; the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday decided to make these important appointments on various corporations.
The appointments include 10 Greater Corporations, 6 Corporations, 2 authorities and one post of the Commission. These appointments include 11 people from BJP and 10 from Shivsena.
The appointment of our representatives in the corporation was our right; it should have been given much earlier. The appointments in the Greater Corporations and giving importance to Shivsena to maintain the alliance are two totally different things.
